My two boys are obsessed with their rain boots. They would wear them to bed if they could. My youngest spends time in the mudroom all by himself only because that’s the only place inside the house where he’s allowed to wear outside shoes, so he puts on his blue boots and walks proudly the few steps he can take in our small mudroom.
At this young age kids outgrow their shoes so fast that last year’s rain boots are no longer fitting our oldest. It took my husband and me a lot of time to convince him to give up his purple rain boots and embrace the idea of a new pair. He finally cave in and gave his approval for monster truck boots but the approval lasted only till we got to the car where he changed his mind and started crying.

Two weeks later he loves his new rain boots and has completely forgotten about his last year’s favorites. What I like about his new Western Chief rain boots is that they come with pull-up handles which makes it easy even for toddlers to put them on with little or no help.
My kids’ love for rubber boots inspired me to put together a list of boots that are not only stylish but also affordable.

Tiny Toddler Rain Boots by TOMS.
Fashionable rain boots that can be worn by both boys and girls. This is definitely a plus when you have several kids and can pass them down from one kid to the other. I also like the black with blue sole version but those have a more boyish look.
Kids Dots Rain Boots by Bogs.
These boots are built to handle any serious spring kid challenge: long days digging in the dirt, puddle jumping or a game of hide and seek at recess.
