Kids Coloring Placemats

Sharing is caring!

We almost never order from the kids menu. I know my boys would be happy to fill up their tummies with French fries but this doesn’t happen too often.  I want nutritious meals for them and some veggies on their plates. What we do instead is to have them share a meal on the regular menu and I order something they may also like, in case they won’t touch their own food. I do see the point of the kids menu, giving parents a break while kids can choose something they will actually want to eat, but you see, I never mind a power struggle over veggies, even when in public.

While I can handle veggie complains and other food-related struggles on my own, I appreciate all the help I can get when it comes to keeping the kids at the table. Entertaining them with some coloring activity just before food gets on the table is a good way to keep them busy. Modern-Twist produces the coolest kids coloring placemats ever! Made from silky food-grade, hand silk-screened silicone, these mats won’t crease or rip and they feel incredibly soft  to the touch. Silicone is a natural material made of sand, rock, and oxygen, and it is unmatched in its functional properties of heat and water resistance. ( Heat proof to 425 F – in case you were wondering ). They are free of BPA, lead, latex and other harsh chemicals.

The kids coloring placemats feature creative, playful designs that will amuse and inspire little tikes. Children will be able to exercise their ABCs and numbers and learn about various cities of the world: New York, Seattle, Paris, London. Color, clean off with a damp cloth or rinse and color again.  The mats are ideal for mealtime at home or on the go.

We never ordered from kids menu for the main reason that they lack varieties and unhealthy. The same things everywhere : nuggets, hot dogs, pizza. , fries, mac and cheese !!! and lots of people are wondering why their kids are picky :) BUT, I always ask for their kids' menu because of the coloring page :) These placemats are so cool, I'd want to color them myself !!!!!

A magnet set comes in very handy for dinners out or traveling. I'm about to get a couple myself as we plan our first road trip with the kids.

My youngest is still in his high chair but I'm sure once we upgrade him, we'll need one of these, for the same reason :)
