Twig Flag Craft for Kids

Sharing is caring!

An easy and inexpensive DIY twig flag craft kids can make for the 4th of July.

When you make this handmade rustic flag, you’ll have a beautiful piece to add to your holiday décor. Take it out and use it for the 4th of July as well as Memoria Day. It will look great on the patio or inside, above the fireplace.

I’m still passionate about turning cardboard boxes into DIY toys for kids but I have recently also developed a new interest in collecting natural elements like twigs, rocks and pine cones. I may have gotten into this because of my boys. I used to find this habit of their funny, but now I understand.

Making crafts using nature elements is very inexpensive and there is usually a great supply of twigs so why not turn them into something beautiful?

This is a very easy craft that you can make with kids of all ages. For preschoolers and kindergartners use a Q-tip to help them make white dots onto the blue corner of the American flag. Making actual tiny stars is more challenging but dots will look great too.

Step 4: Use two sticks at the back and glue the painted sticks to them.

Step 5: Attach a string on the top of the flag, from one side to the other

Please submit them and any other crafts you have in your archives. We'd love to help drive some traffic your way and share your tutorials with our readers.
