Let’s grab a paper roll from the recycling bin or your craft room (in my house the paper rolls go directly to my craft room) and turn it into a paper roll panda craft. Pandas are cute animals and although they are big, they look so cuddly.
This paper roll panda family is a great addition to our collection of ZOO animals crafts. So far we have created paper roll zebras and giraffes but we plan on adding more in the following weeks. Because we made zebra and giraffe families, we made a panda family, too.
We gave each member of our panda family a bamboo shoot in its hands. And the little panda even has a leaf in its mouth. Doesn’t it look adorable?
I like a good recycled craft and with Earth Day just a few days away, this looks like a great craft idea for kids. It’s easy and it requires no special tools. It’s basically paper roll, paper, paint and a black marker.
Preschoolers can practice their scissors cutting skills and kindergartners should be able to make this craft with no help from an adult.
Paper roll panda craft

- paper rolls
- white craft paint
- brown, green and white craft paper
- black marker
- glue
- pencil
Tools:
- scissors

- round cup or plastic container
- ruler
HOW TO MAKE A PAPER ROLL panda CRAFT
Start by painting the paper roll white. Set it aside to dry completely.
Use a round cup or plastic container to trace a circle onto white paper. Draw two ears attached to the circles. Draw also the eyes, the patches around the eyes, the nose and mouth.
Use the black marker to color in the ears, patches around the eyes, nose and outline the mouth.
Glue the head to the top of the paper roll.
Cut out a long strip of brown paper and a few leaves from green paper. Make a few lines onto the brown paper and glue the leaves onto it.
Glue the bamboo shoot in the middle of the paper roll
Use a pencil and a ruler to make a 2″ long rectangle on black paper. Draw a semicircle on one side of the rectangle and cut it out. Use this shape as a pattern to cut out 3 more paws from black paper.
Glue the paws two by two: two at the top of the paper roll, underneath the head and two at the bottom.
