Space Gifts for Kids

Sharing is caring!

When my hubby crushes on the coach in front of the TV space shows are among his favorites. I would say it’s a gender interest as guys seem to be more passionate about space. We have a neighbor who takes photos of stars and wakes up in the middle of the night (winter time in Minnesota!) to pursue his hobby and a friend who made his own telescope. I figure my boys may start showing an interest as well some day.

We have already visited a Space exhibition at the Science Museum in Minneapolis, MN and have been reading a bunch of books on the subject. I find it challenging to explain space concepts to my kiddos, as they are too little to understand, but I try to relate to things they are familiar with, like astronauts “fly” like Peter Pan.

This list of educational space gifts for kids has everything from rockets to puzzles and I’m sure it’s not only the kids who will enjoy them, but also their dads 🙂

 Astronaut Suit.

This astronaut suit will have your child ready to take flight. Your little space traveler will love dressing up in this top quality astronaut costume. Its official look and feel make it seem like the real thing! This astronaut suit features official NASA patches, including special commander patch and official embroidered NASA cap.

3D solar system kit by 4M.

Kids will learn about the nine planets as they build their very own  hanging mobile of the Solar System! Snap together planets and then color them with the included paints — including two that glow-in-the-dark! An educational poster provides facts about each of the nine worlds.

Giant Mars Volcano by Thames & Kosmos.

Erupt a model of the largest volcano in our solar system, Olympus Mons on Mars. It is three times taller than Mt. Everest. Using a special plaster mixture and iron oxide powder, the mega-volcano hardens after each eruption and slowly grows like a real volcano.
