America 250 flip craft activity for kids with drawing writing prompts about American heroes symbols and U.S. history

Every section (History, Heroes, Symbols and Freedom) comes with four engaging writing prompts, plus a blank option for open-ended responses.

There are two cover options and 10 different labels.

The craft can be used for kids of different ages. Younger kids can draw and write a few words for each section. Older kids will be able to write about America’s history, heroes, symbols and freedom, using the writing prompts or the blank options for each of the four sections.

Supplies:

  • America 250 printable
  • White printing paper
  • Colored pencils or markers
  • Colored cardstock paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Step-by-step instructions

Draw and fill out each of the four rectangles.

Cut out all pieces: the four rectangles, the cover, and the label.

Glue the Freedom rectangle at the bottom of a cardstock paper.

Apply glue to the top of the next rectangle and layer it on top so the title remains visible.

Repeat this process with the remaining rectangles.

Glue the cover on last.

Attach the label at the top of the cardstock paper.
