About Me

Sharing is caring!

Hi! Welcome to Non-Toy Gifts. I’m Stef, the creator and author of this craft blog. I’m a Romanian mom living in Minnesota with my husband and two boys. After nine years as an archivist, I decided to become a stay-at-home mom and this is when a whole new world opened up to me!

I grew up with a dad who would spend his free time painting and creating tapestry. His creativity had me in awe and though I’ve also considered myself a creative person and dabbled in painting, sewing and knitting, I found my true passion only after becoming a mom. Crafting with my kids is something that I enjoy doing any moment of the day.

This blog is a piece of my life with kids, a place to share easy and fun crafts, recycled toy ideas and activities to inspire families and educators.

We love creating with paper plates and yarn and here is our entire collection of  easy crafts for kids.

Hello! I wanted to download the template for the Paper Plate Veggie Garden craft but cannot find it anywhere on the page. I think it's SO cute and I really want to do it with the kids that visit my library. Is there another way to access the template? Thanks!

Hello! I've been trying to download the "Veggies in the Garden" activity and in the post it says that the template is at the end of the post, but I cannot find the template anywhere on that page. Please advise.

Hello. You once sent me a log in and free templates, but it has been a while back. I use your site a lot and was wondering if that deal is still available. I work at a small library and can't afford to pay for the templates. And I am not allowed to purchase items on my own. Thank you, Teresa Whitson

I work at a small public library and wanted to download the templates for the paper bag owl. I haven't been successful. Is it possible for you to send them to me as an attachment via email, or send me a link that will enable me to download the templates? Thank you, Judith Twain Harte Library
