If you’re looking for easy Easter crafts for kids to pair with an Easter Sunday School lesson, this He Is Risen Easter egg craft is simple and can be made by kids of different ages.
Last year, I came up with this He Is Risen! craft that I made with kids at church. I was prepared for a wide range of kid ages so for little ones, I did the cutting of patterns myself, at home. Big kids had no problem doing the cutting themselves.
With this craft, I wanted a Christian craft that is suitable for younger ages too. This template is big and preschoolers, kindergartners or kids in 1st grade won’t have any issues doing the craft on their own, from start to finish.
SAVE WITH BUNDLES
This craft is part of an awesome Easter bundle. Make sure to check it out.
For this Christ-centered Christian craft I combined an Easter egg craft with a resurrection craft and the outcome is beautiful. I hope you think so too.
While our first Jesus is risen! is a pop-up craft, for this one, kids only have to cut out the patterns and glue them together. You will need nothing else but paper, scissors and glue. This is what I call an easy religious Easter craft!

HOW TO MAKE A JESUS IS RISEN EASTER EGG CRAFT
The He is Risen! template comes with two versions:
1. home template – cut out the patterns and trace them on corresponding colored paper.
2. classroom template – print the pattern directly on colored paper and cut them out.
This way you can easily craft with just one or two kids as well as with a classroom full of students.
STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS FOR HOME CRAFTING
Print the home template, cut out the patterns and trace them on corresponding colored paper. While you can use the Jesus pattern as is, you will need to trace the egg on light blue paper, the grass on green paper, the tomb on gray paper, the tomb opening on black paper and the stone on dark gray paper.
Start by gluing the green grass at the bottom of the egg.
Glue the tomb in the middle of the egg, right above the grass.
Add the tomb opening onto the tomb.
Glue the stone onto the tomb, next to the tomb opening.
Add Jesus in the middle of the Easter egg.
Step by step directions for classroom crafting
Print the classroom template on corresponding colored paper. Jesus and the stone are printed on white paper, the tomb is printed on gray paper, the egg on light blue paper and the grass on green paper.
To make the He is Risen! Easter Egg craft each student will need 1 Jesus, 1 gray tomb, 1 black stone, 1 light blue egg and 1 green grass.
Start by gluing the green grass at the bottom of the egg.
Glue the tomb in the middle of the egg, right above the grass.
Glue the stone onto the tomb, next to the tomb opening.
Add Jesus in the middle of the Easter egg.
