The story of Cain and Abel

After leaving the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve had two sons: Cain and Abel. Cain, the older brother, became a farmer, taking care of land and growing crops, and Abel liked to look after animals, and became a shepherd.

One day, the brothers decided to bring gifts to God. Cain brought a sample of what his land produced: fruits and vegetables. Abel brought the best lamb he had. When God saw their offerings, He was please with Abel’s gifts because he had given his very best. On the other hand, God wasn’t happy with Cain’s offering.

Cain was jealous and angry because God rejected his offering. So, he followed Abel into the field and, in his anger, he killed his own brother.
