Pregnancy is one of the memorable moments in a woman’s life. The little miracle who grows inside us and turning into this beautiful human being. From the moment I found out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted to capture the progress as much as I possibly could. There are so many creative ways to capture this special moment in life. All the photos were taken by myself using a DSLR camera mounted on a tripod at home. I tried to keep the background and outfit as simple as possible so they wouldn’t “compete” with the “star” (the belly). The STOP sign photo was taken by my husband and let me tell you it was the longest few seconds of my life standing next to the sign with cars passing by (and perhaps wondering what I was doing too), but I’m glad I did it.
When I look back at all these photos, they bring me back to the sweet memories of carrying the fruit of our love. This birth announcement photo was taken when we brought Iven home at day 3. We did not find out the gender until the day of the delivery. But, I prepared all the props and cut out some letters from magazines and newspapers for names and some numbers (for weight and height). We had names picked out and so I prepared one for girl and one for boy 2 weeks before the scheduled C-section because I knew I would be too tired and busy to do all these then. So, when we got home and got him settled down and happy, I took this photo without having to mess much with the props (just need to glue the numbers for the weights and heights).
