When you have a picky eater you do anything to convince him to eat or at least try what’s on the table. A healthy relationship with food doesn’t resume to eating your food but it’s the whole experience of having a meal that matters: getting kids involved in the preparation of the meal, enjoying dinner as a family, having a fun and relaxing atmosphere at the table, but also setting rules and following them (no dessert unless kids take at least one bite, no leaving the table before everybody is done eating – these are some of the rules in our house).

When we upgraded our picky eater from his high chair to the dinning table, I wanted him excited about dinner time so he became in charge with setting the table. I bought new colorful plates specially for him, not only to make it more fun but also because I was afraid he might drop the good plates on the floor 🙂 , which he’s never done to this day! He had just gotten some big kid silverware for Christmas, so I didn’t have to look for spoons and forks for him but if I’d had to, I know I would have been bought some by these:
The best place to look for unique handmade kids silverware (or anything else handmade) is Etsy and this is where I came across RadArta Design – a shop owned by a working mom who gave up her job to pursue her artistic dream of creating with polymer clay. She creates jewelry, accessories, cake toppers but the kids silverware is my favorite. They caught my eye with cheerful colors and amazing design.
Spoons and forks can be personalized with your kids’ name and favorite characters as well as any other details like: your child loves cats or owns a dog or dreams of becoming an astronaut….You can also send a photo of your child to have his/her face on the silverware!
Items are beautifully wrapped and ready to be gifted!
The handmade silverware are on the 25 personalized gifts for kids list.
