The Kissing hand is a beloved back to school book so I decided to create a craft to go along. The Kissing Hand handprint craft is perfect for preschool, kindergarten and older elementary kids to make on the first day of school.
It’s a great story to read to all kids but it will help especially those who experience separation anxiety, caused by the beginning of the school year. New environment, new teacher, new classmates, being away from their family – all these may cause great anxiety in young kids.
So let’s pair The Kissing Hand book with a fun craft. And if you’re looking for more back to school ideas, make sure to check out this All about me spinner or the popular shape school bus card.
We love handprint crafts and have a pretty big collection. You will find seasonal and holiday ideas.

HOW TO MAKE The Kissing Hand CRAFT
The Kissing Hand template comes with two versions:
1. home template – cut out the patterns and trace them on corresponding colored paper.
2. classroom template – print the pattern directly on colored paper and cut them out.
This way you can easily craft with just one or two kids as well as with a classroom full of students.
