If you want to encourage your kids to make Christmas cards for family members, friends, teachers, bus drivers and anyone else who is important in their lives, these triangle Christmas tree cards are great. They are very easy to make and look adorable.
I am a big fan of DIY Christmas cards and try to come up with simple handmade Christmas card ideas that my boys would love. They have quite a few cards to make for their teachers at school so easy cards is the key.
I started making Christmas cards with my boys when they were in preschool. Those reindeer cards turned out so adorable!
We love incorporating shapes into our crafts. So we decided to use triangles for the Christmas trees on our cards.
More shape crafts:
If you craft with young kids, you can use this opportunity to review shapes. Before you start gluing the triangles onto your card, you can display them by size, from small to big. You can also group them by size and count them. A little math is always welcome 🙂

We used Christmas pattern paper and cardstock paper of several green shades for our trees. Feel free to improvise and include maybe some white Christmas trees, as if they’re covered with snow. Doily trees would look great, too. This is a good opportunity to use all those scrap papers in your craft room. I know I have plenty of them.
As for decorating the Christmas cards, we made some snowflakes from white paper and used golden stars.
