If you’re looking for ideas for life cycle of a bat for kids and need a printable to go with, this bat life cycle craft and activity may be the answer for you.
The bat life cycle wheel will help little ones visualize the four life cycle phases of the mammal: pup, nursery, young bat, and adult. I incorporated the wheel into an interactive and engaging bat craft to make the learning process more fun for preschoolers and older kids.
We have created several life cycle crafts throughout the years and if you want to explore some more, here are just a few:
If used as a school project, this bat life cycle can be paired with a research writing for 2nd grade or older.
Whiles bats make popular learning lessons especially for Halloween, you can use our interactive craft printable template any day of the year for a science lesson about bats . You don’t have to wait for the month of October to study these fascinating animals.
The template comes with several options. For instance you can choose to have the words: Life Cycle of a Bat on the body. In this case, I would print the pattern on orange or purple paper, so the words are easier to read.
The wheel with the 4 life cycle stages has pre-colored bats or black and white bats for kids to color.
Also you can choose between the labeled wheel or let the kids add their own labels underneath the bats.
I used three different shades of gray, for the body, wings and head. If you make this craft for Halloween, you could replace gray with orange and purple, or a combination of the 3 colors.
