When I was a kid we used to decorate the Christmas tree with candles. Real candles. And we lit them up too! So unsafe these days. You don’t see this anymore today but still candles are a Christmas symbol so we had to create a Christmas candle craft to go along.
I want to create more Christmas symbol crafts that are easy enough for preschoolers and kindergartners to do on their own. Simple templates with big patterns. Like this Christmas present or this Christmas tree.
Our Christmas candle craft is such a fun idea that leaves room to a lot of creativity. Kids can chose any color for most of the craft patterns.
For more Christmas ideas, please check out our Christmas crafts. You will find many Santa, elf or reindeer.

HOW TO MAKE THE CHRISTMAS Candle CRAFT
The Christmas candle template comes with two versions:
1. home template – print the template, cut out the patterns and trace them on appropriate colored paper
2. classroom template – print the pattern directly on colored paper and cut them out.
This way you can easily craft with just one or two kids as well as with a classroom full of students.
STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS FOR HOME CRAFTING
Start by gluing the candle in the middle of the plate.
Glue the wax on top of the candle.
Glue the big yellow flame in the middle of the wax.
Glue the small red flame in the middle of the yellow flame.
Glue the eyes under the wax.
Glue the two mistletoe leaves next to the candle.
Glue the three red mistletoe berries where the two leaves meet together.
Use a black marker to draw a smile.
