An apple treat for Halloween? Oh, yeah! It’s a nice healthy alternative to the candy that piles up so fast in our children’s Halloween bags.
Whenever there is a party at my boys’ preschool that requires to send in treats, I try to come up with handmade ideas that don’t involve sweets. The school provides the Halloween candy but as my oldest is born on Halloween he still has to bring in treats. Last year I went over the board and sewed more than 30 pirate hats for his classmates. (My son was dressed up as Captain Hook – to give you and idea why I chose to make pirate hats). This year I’m choosing semi-handmade Halloween treats that require less time to put together but are equally adorable: healthy Frankenstein treats.
