Crafting Apple Is a Perfect Classroom Activity

Crafting is a great activity to keep kids busy, especially if you are a preschool teacher. Theoretical knowledge is good, but if you combine it with some skillful activities, it not only helps in retaining the knowledge, but also in improving their skills both mentally and physically.

Practice Refining Kids’ Motor Skills

Crafting activities can be an excellent initiative to help your kids in improving the motor skills of their hands. For example, crafting activities have frequent use of scissors.

And scissors cutting activities help the kids improve their focus, hand and finger control, their eye coordination and help them understand the sequencing of activities.

The same goes for threading the plastic beads in the wire during this craft. When your kid is busy threading the beads through the string, she uses eye coordination along with fine finger movements to make the craft.

How to Make a Paper Cup Apple Craft

how to make a paper cup apple craft

Use a pencil to make a hole at the top of the paper cup.

Cut a strand of yarn, fold it in half and thread if through the hole in the cup.

Tie the yarn ends together with a big knot . (TIP Make sure the knot is larger than the hole)

Use a hole punch to make four holes at the bottom of the paper cup.

Cut four strands of fishing wire and tie them at the bottom of the paper cup.

Start threading red plastic beads through each wire. I used hot glue to glue a red pom pom at the end of each wire to stop the beads from falling down.

As an alternative you can use pipe cleaners instead of fishing wire. Easier for little hands.
