An easy paper fireworks craft for kids to make for New Year’s Eve.
Just a few more days and we’re entering a New Year. So let’s get ready for some fireworks crafts that kids can easily make on their own.
Our fireworks come in the shape of stars and use colorful paper strips to go around them. A great craft to use paper scraps, left over from other crafts.

- Free fireworks template – find it at the end of the article
- Construction paper: yellow and more colors of your choice
- Black cardstock paper
- Decorative edge scissors
- Scissors
- Glue
How to make a paper fireworks craft
Start by printing the fireworks template on yellow paper and cut out as many stars you want to use for the craft.
Use decorative edge scissors to cut out strips of colorful paper. The strips should be around 2 inches.
Glue the paper strips to the back of the stars.
Glue the stars to the black cardstock paper.
