Just a few more days and we’re entering a New Year. So let’s get ready for some fireworks crafts that kids can easily make on their own.

Our fireworks come in the shape of stars and use colorful paper strips to go around them. A great craft to use paper scraps, left over from other crafts.

How to make a paper fireworks craft

Start by printing the fireworks template on yellow paper and cut out as many stars you want to use for the craft.

Use decorative edge scissors to cut out strips of colorful paper. The strips should be around 2 inches.

Glue the paper strips to the back of the stars.

Glue the stars to the black cardstock paper.

  • Construction paper: yellow and more colors of your choice
  • Black cardstock paper
  • Glue

Tools

  • Decorative edge scissors
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Start by printing the fireworks template on yellow paper and cut out as many stars you want to use for the craft.
  2. Use decorative edge scissors to cut out strips of colorful paper. The strips should be around 1-2 inches.
  3. Glue the paper strips to the back of the stars.
  4. Glue the stars to the black cardstock paper.
