Are you looking for a fun craft that your child can sport all day long? The creation story headband is the perfect way for kids to display their artwork in a unique way. With every day of creation mentioned, it’s a great visual aid to remember and teach this important Bible story.
Each day is marked in order, so make sure to guide your child along chronologically. Start with the first day of creation–light! God gave the world light first. Did you know that Jesus is called the light of the world?
On the second day, God separated the waters. Talk to your child about how much we need water and how wonderful it is to our planet.
The third day of creation was for making plants! All the beautiful trees and flowers were made on the third day.
Next, God made the sun, moon, and stars. Discuss with your child how important it is that we have light to help us by day and night!
On the fifth day, God made sea creatures and birds. All of the wonderful fish in the sea and birds of the air were designed just for us.
The sixth day was for making land animals and humans. It’s a great place to talk to your child about how important it is that God made each and every person. Everyone is precious because God made them!
On the seventh day, God rested. It’s important that we make time for rest.
After coloring all the circles, cut out the headband and glue it together. Once it’s ready to go, encourage your child to share the creation story with others! The creation story headband is a great way for them to practice reciting the days of creation.
