With Dr Seuss’s birthday and Read Across America Day coming up next month, we’re planning on sharing several Dr Seuss crafts inspired by one of our favorite books, Cat in the Hat. We’re starting off the series with a Thing 1 and Thing 2 paper roll craft.

Supplies:
- 2 paper rolls
- blue and red paint
- white foam sheet or cardstock
- Thing 1 and 2 signs
- paintbrush
- scissors
- glue
Step 1: Paint the paper rolls red.
Step 2: Paint your child’s hand with blue paint and press it down on a white foam sheet. We prefer to use foam sheets for handprints as it is flexible but you can replace it with white cardstock.
Step 3: Once the paint has dried cut out each handprint. Glue them to top the paper rolls.
Step 4: Print out Thing 1 and 2 signs (I googled mine) , cut them out and glue them on the paper rolls.
