When you think of a giraffe craft you may think of ZOO animals or jungle animals but we put a spin to our giraffe and turned it into a Valentine’s Day heart giraffe craft. And a very cute one, if I may add.
It is part of our Valentine heart animals collection, next to the heart bear, the heart bunny, the heart frog and several other animals to come.
We used hearts for the nostrils and horns and if you’d like to add even more hearts, you can do so by replacing the torn paper spots on the giraffe with heart-shaped spots.
Made with just paper, this heart giraffe is very easy to make by kids as young as preschoolers. It’s a great February craft to try in the classroom or at home for Valentine’s Day.

HOW TO MAKE A HEART giraffe CRAFT
The heart giraffe template comes with two versions:
1. home template – print the template, cut out the patterns and trace them on appropriate paper.
2. classroom template – print the pattern directly on colored paper and cut them out.
This way you can easily craft with just one or two kids as well as with a classroom full of students.
STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS
Start by gluing the muzzle in the middle of the head.
Glue the horns at the top of the head.
Glue the brown hearts on top of the horns, one heart on each horn.
Glue the ears next to the horns.
Glue the eyes above the muzzle.
Glue the red hearts onto the muzzle to make the nostrils.
Use a black marker to draw the mouth.
Tear tiny pieces of brown paper or use scissors to cut some and glue them onto the yellow paper.
