Our craft features the 3 wise men following the star to Bethlehem, to get to the stable where baby Jesus is and bring him their gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
What do the wise men’s gifts represent?
Gold is a royal gift that represents Jesus’s status as the “King of the Jews” .
Frankincense is an incense that represents Jesus’ divinity and identity as the Son of God.
Myrrh is an embalming oil that indicates Jesus’ death.
Who are the wise men?
The 3 wise men, also known as the Magi, are a group of foreign visitors who followed a star to where baby Jesus was born and are a central part of the nativity story. Upon their arrival, they presented gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
They reached Jesus’s birthplace on January 6th, which is celebrated as Epiphany or Three Kings’ Day. In Spain and many Latin American countries, Christmas gifts are open on Epiphany. Children write letters to the Magi and leave their shoes out overnight to find presents in the morning.

Our wise men interactive craft comes with a 2-page printable template. The first page features baby Jesus in his manger, in the stable. The second page shows the three magi holding their gifts.
Kids will color the first page and the three wise men.
The craft involves using a craft knife, which has to be done by an adult.

How to make a wise men interactive craft
Print the template. Color baby Jesus and the three wise men and cut them out.
Use a craft knife to cut along the dotted line.
Glue each wise man on a craft stick.
Insert the craft sticks through the slit in the paper.
