It may be only February and the ground may be still covered in snow, but I, for one, am ready for some spring crafting. This 3D paper flower craft seemed just the perfect idea and I’m so happy how it turned out. It’s bright and colorful and ready to welcome the new season.
If you’re looking for a fun way to decorate for spring, just make a few of these flowers in different colors. They will brighten up your home and put a smile on your face.
This 3D paper flower is also a fun Mother’s Day craft that kids can make for their mom, grandma or a special aunt. They can write a message on the paper, next to the flower or draw a little heart right in the middle of the flower on the white circle.

Supplies:
- 3D flower template
- light blue cardstock paper
- green, red, white and yellow construction paper
- glue
- scissors
Step 1: Start by downloading the 3D flower template. Trace the patterns on coordinating construction paper. You will need 1 small white circle, 1 big yellow circle, 1 green leaf and about 15 red petals. The leaf and petals use the same pattern.
Step 2: Cut out a green stem and glue it to the light blue cardstock paper.
Step 3: Fold the sides of the red petals inwards, following the fold lines on the pattern.
Step 4: Glue the petals on the blue cardstock . Start with the top petal and go down and around in a circle. Depending on how close you glue the petals to one another, you will need more or less petals.
Step 5: Glue the small white circle on top of the big yellow circle and then glue them in the middle of the flower, on top of the petals.
Step 6: Fold the green leaf the same way as you did with the red petals and glue it next to the stem.
