Ash Wednesday was yesterday, and I created a simple Lent spinner craft for kids to make any day during the Lent season. Perfect for preschoolers and older kids to create at church, classroom or at home.
What Is Lent?
Lent is a special time for many Christians when they prepare for Easter, which is the celebration of Jesus coming back to life after He died. Lent lasts for about 40 days.
When Does Lent Happen?
Lent starts on a day called Ash Wednesday and ends on Easter Sunday. It’s a journey that helps people think about being kind, saying sorry, and making better choices.
What Do People Do During Lent?
Giving Up Something (Fasting)
Some people choose to give up something they like, like candy or video games. This helps them remember to focus on being good and thinking of others.
Helping Others
It’s also a time to help others, like sharing toys, helping a friend, or doing chores without being asked.
Praying
During Lent, people spend more time talking to God through prayer.
Why Is Lent Important?
Lent is important because it’s a time to think about how we can be better people. It’s a chance to start fresh and do things that make the world a nicer place.
