Kids who are into superheroes will love making this paper plate Batman craft that moves to save Gotham City. Fun superhero craft for boys

My dear friend Marv (check out her blog What To Cook Today for mouth watering recipes) tells me she’s not crafty.

But then she surprises my youngest on his birthday with an awesome handmade Batman card. (Batman has been my son’s favorite superhero for 3 years).

It’s the kind of card that you want to keep forever. Not only because it’s handmade by a close friend but mostly because it looks amazing and perfect in every detail.

Inspired by this card, I created this paper plate Batman craft for my kids to play with.

Batman turned into a craft

Step 1: Start by painting the paper plate. We love using our sponge brushes to paint paper plates as it goes much faster. Once the paint has dried, have an adult use a craft knife to cut a slit at the bottom of the paper plate.

Step 2: Print the skyline template and use it to cut out Gotham City out of black cardstock. Glue it on the paper plate, above the slit.

Step 3: Cut tiny white windows from printer paper and glue them on the black apartment flats.

Step 4: Cut the Batman sign out of yellow cardstock. Color the craft stick with a black marker and glue the Batman sign at top of the craft stick. Place the stick inside the slit and move it from behind the paper plate.
