A lovely Mother’s Day heart flower card for kids to make for their moms or grandmas. Use the printable template for an easy craft experience or create your own template.
Our heart bee and ladybug cards have been a big hit for Valentine’s Day. We decided to use the same heart card idea for Mother’ Day too. Because flowers are so popular crafts for Mother’s Day (check out these 16 Mother’s Day flower cards and these 10 Mother’s Day flower crafts) we combined the two together into a beautiful heart flower card.
This card makes a great Mother’s Day classroom craft. Preschoolers and kindergartners will particularly appreciate it as they will get a chance to practice their scissors cutting skills.
We have added five flowers to our cards but feel free to add just one or three instead.

How to make the Mother’s Day heart flower card
The heart flower card template comes with two versions:
1. home template – print the template, cut out the patterns and trace them on corresponding paper.
2. classroom template – print the pattern directly on colored paper and cut them out.
This way you can easily craft with just one or two kids as well as with a classroom full of students.
STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS FOR HOME CRAFTING
Print the home template, cut out the patterns and trace them on corresponding colored paper.
For the heart card, start by folding a cardstock paper in half and place the heart pattern next to the folded line.
Feel free to chose any color you like for the heart card as well as the flowers.
To make the Mother’s Day heart flower card, you will need: 1 colored heart card, 1 green grass triangle, 5 colored flowers and 5 white pistils.
Start by cutting the triangle to look like grass. Snip the edge by cutting out small triangles along the top side of the grass.
Fold the heart in half and glue the grass at the bottom of the folded card.
Glue the white pistils in the middle of the colored flowers. Cut out the flower edges, using the same technique as for the grass.
Glue the 5 flowers onto the heart card.
Use a green marker to draw the stems and leaves.
Write “Happy Mother’s Day!” inside the card.
