Our Mother’s Day handprint purrfect card turned out so adorable that we decided to make another “Mom, You Are Purrfect” craft. This one comes with a template, for your convenience.
As this craft involves scissors cutting and gluing, it is perfect as a classroom craft for preschoolers and kindergartners. They can write the message on their own or you can print it directly on card stock paper.

Supplies:
- Mother’s Day purrfect template
- Construction paper: light gray, dark gray, pink and red
- Pink card stock paper
- Googly eyes
- Black marker
- Scissors
- Glue
How to make the Mother’s Day purrfect craft
The Mother’s Day purrfect template comes with two versions:
1. home template – print the template, cut out the patterns and trace them on corresponding paper.
2. classroom template – print the pattern directly on colored paper and cut them out.
This way you can easily craft with just one or two kids as well as with a classroom full of students.
STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS FOR HOME CRAFTING
Print the home template, cut out the patterns and trace them on corresponding colored paper.
To make the Mother’s Day purrfect craft you will need 1 light gray head, 2 light gray ears, 2 pink ear details, 3 dark gray stripes, 3 light gray stripe details and 1 red heart nose.
Start by putting together the ears. Glue the pink ear details onto the light gray ears.
Glue the ears to the back of the head.
Print the Mom, You Are Purffect! message on card stock paper. Glue the head at the bottom left side of the card stock paper.
Add the 3 dark gray stripes onto the head, between the ears.
Add the stripe details, one on each stripe.
Glue the heart nose in the middle of the face.
Glue the googly eyes and use a marker to draw the whiskers and mouth.

Print the classroom template on corresponding colored paper. The head, ears and stripe details are printed on light gray paper, the stripes on dark gray paper, the ear details on pink paper and the heart nose on red paper.
