Do you have a picky eater in your family? I do. If food doesn’t look, smell or taste as expected, my oldest will choose to stay hungry until the next meal. In time, some fruits and veggies managed to switch on the yummy side. I wish I knew what triggered the switch so I could apply it to everything. But I don’t. Take apples, for instance. They used to be a no-no. They are now among his favorite fruits. He actually looks forward to going to the orchard and pick his own apples. He also loves crafting apples with me. This paper plate and pom pom core apple craft was definitely a crowd pleaser as it uses two of our favorite craft materials: paper plates and pom poms.

Supplies:
- small paper plate
- pom poms: red, white and green
- small black pom poms
- glue
- craft stick
Step 1: Start by gathering all your materials. Apply glue to the paper plate and then use the red pom poms to make a circle around the edge of the paper plate. Once you are done with the external circle of red pom poms, start working on the white ones. These are glued in the middle of the paper plate. Use 3 or 4 small back pom poms and glue them right in the middle, on top of the white ones.
Step 2: Apply glue to one end of the craft stick and place the paper plate on top of it.
Step 3: The last step would be to glue a green pom pom on the craft stick to look like a leaf.
