10 Reasons I Love My Mom

Sharing is caring!

Show mom how much you care about her with this 10 Reasons I Love My Mom booklet. The perfect Mother’s Day activity to make in the classroom and send home to moms. Of course, it is also a good idea to try at home. Maybe grandma wants to surprise mom and works with her grandkids on this booklet.

10 reasons I love my mom booklet

I love receiving such booklets that my kids prepared at school. Most of the times it was just a sheet of paper with reasons why my kids love mom or all about my mom. I find them sweet and funny and keep them all.

Because I’m a crafter and I love combing things (like this color and craft insects) , I had to incorporate the booklet into a craft. It’s a beautiful flowerpot craft with a flower for every word: “Reasons I love my mom”.

My 10 reasons I love my mom comes with a template that offers a lot of options, from printing the flowers onto colored paper or printing them on white paper and have kids color them, to choosing between Mom and Mum.

Also each reason comes with two options. Young kids, like preschoolers, can also do a little drawing, besides writing, while older kids can only write down their reasons.

Reasons why I love my mom:

  • I love my mom because she helps me…
  • I love my mom because she taught me how to…
  • I love my mom because she always remembers to…
  • I love my mom because she is good at…
  • I love my mom because she works hard at…
  • I love my mom because she hugs me when…
  • I love my mom because she gives me the best…
  • I love my mom because she laughs when…
  • I love my mom because she finds time to…
  • I love my mom because she is the best mom in the world.

How to make the Mother’s Day booklet and craft

Print the flowerpot and flowers on cardstock paper. Choose any colors you like.

You can also print the flowers on white paper and colore them.

Print the “reason pots” on white paper.

Choose between the “reason pots” with or without drawing box.

Start by folding all the 10 “reason pots” along the lower end of the gray area. Place the “reason pots” face down and fold down the gray area.

fold the reasons

Unfold the paper and flip it over. Then fold the gray area downwards.

Fold again

Fold the flowerpot the same way you did with the “reason pots”. Fold along the line that separates the top from the bottom of the flowerpot.

Fold the flowerpot

Apply glue to the gray area of “reason pot 1” and place it under the “reason pot 2”. Repeat with the rest until you have all the “reason pots” sandwiched together and number 10 is on top. Glue the reason booklet to the back of the flowerpot. Make sure to align the bottom of the booklet with the bottom of the flowerpot.

Glue the reasons together

Glue the flowers MY and MOM on top of  the flowerpot.

Glue the flowers

Glue the flowers WHY, I and LOVE on top of the other two flowers.

You can also glue the flowers LOVE, MY and MOM flowers at the bottom and flowers WHY and I at the top.
