Let’s make a witch today! It’s no ordinary witch, though. It’s a shape witch craft. This means that we will use shapes and put them together to form a funny witch walking with a broom in her hand. Because a witch really needs her broom.
We have made several Halloween shape crafts lately, from shape bats and Frankenstein to this cute pumpkin shape matching activity.
Shape crafts are useful for preschoolers and kindergartners as it helps them review shapes while having fun crafting. Older kids can enjoy the crafts too.
These crafts make great classroom crafts but you can definitely also try them at home. It’s an opportunity to talk to your child about shapes, name them, count how many you used to make the witch or pair the craft with a writing activity like we did for our ghost craft.

HOW TO MAKE A SHAPE witch CRAFT
The shape witch template comes with two versions:
1. home template – cut out the patterns and trace them on corresponding colored paper.
2. classroom template – print the pattern directly on colored paper and cut them out.
This way you can easily craft with just one or two kids as well as with a classroom full of students.
