Show mom, grandma, an aunt or another important woman in your kid’s life how much you care about her with this easy paper roll Mother’s Day craft. Personalize it to look exactly like her, by choosing paper that matches her hair color or adding details like flowers and buttons. If she wears glasses, use a black marker to draw glasses around the googly eyes.
After creating this cute paper roll dad craft, I knew I wanted to also make a mom version. We used the same technique: paint the paper roll and then decorate it.
We love simple crafts (check out our collection of 200+ easy crafts for kids) and paper roll crafts in particular. Paper roll crafts are not only recycling items we already have in our household but they are so easy to turn into anything, from a zebra family to the American flag.
If you don’t feel comfortable reusing paper rolls, you can always buy craft paper rolls – that are especially available for this type of crafts. They are white and a bit more sturdy. Also you can use white paper cups.
Pair this paper roll Mother’s Day craft with a Mother’s Day spinner or a handprint flower bouquet and you will make mom’s day.
Kids can also add a little note to the craft. Write it a piece of paper, roll it up and place it inside the paper roll. Or fill up the paper rolls with some treats for mom. In this case you may want to add a bottom to the paper roll.

How to make a paper roll Mother’s Day craft
Start by painting the paper roll. We used two colors: one for the face and the second for the dress.
Cut out a strip of paper and cut out the bangs. We went crazy with different hair styles.
Glue the hair at the top of the paper roll.
Glue the googly eyes.
Use a black marker to draw the mouth.
Add paper flowers, buttons, pom poms or feathers to decorate the paper roll.
