Before we go ahead and make the ornaments, let me give you some tips.
- You can find wooden hearts that are especially created to be turned into ornaments, so they come with a hole at the top and natural twine.
- For kids who don’t feel comfortable using a hot glue gun yet, you can get a low temp glue gun.
How to make the DIY Grinch ornament
Start by painting the wooden heart green. Let it dry completely.
Glue the heart gem in the middle of the painted heart.
Glue a Santa hat on one side of the heart. You can also bend the top down and glue it in place.
Cut out a strand of Christmas twine, bend it in half and glue it to the back of the heart.
