This wheel combines a popular back to school craft with an all about me writing activity into a fun first day of school apple spinner. Low-prep and perfect for preschool and kindergarten through second grade.
Apple is a popular fall craft and we have created several apple crafts throughout the years, from these paper roll apple cores to this apple life cycle apple spinner.
All about me is another popular theme for the beginning of the year.
Kids get the chance to write down what makes them unique and special. It helps them introduce themselves to their classmates and teacher and identify other classmates with whom they may have things in common. A fun way to start new friendships.
We chose to turn our first day of school into a spinner because we have created many of them this year. We started with the Easter story and continued with life cycle spinners and more.
This apple spinner is a nice addition to our back to school craft collection, next to the school busses and other apples.
Included on the spinner:
- This is how I write my name _______
- I am _______ years old
- One thing I want to do this year ________
- When I grow up I want to be ________
- My teacher’s name is _______
While our photos only show the “first day of school” label on the apple, our template comes with several label options:
- First day of school
- First day of preschool
- First day of kindergarten
- First day of 1st grade
- First day of 2nd grade
