There are few things more exciting to kids than a headband craft! Kids love wearable crafts, so if you’re looking for something fun for Earth Day, consider our simple I Can Recycle headband for all your classroom or home crafting needs.
The crown of this hat features a recycling truck and the Earth, which will remind kids of the importance of recycling and protecting our planet. Not only will kids have a blast coloring in the design, but they’ll also learn about the significance of reducing, reusing, and recycling through the writing portion of the craft.
This craft is an ideal way for children to practice their critical thinking skills, writing skills, as well as improve their overall dexterity through coloring and cutting paper.
Once the headband itself is complete, kids can write down three things they can recycle. For instance, things like plastic bags, plastic bottles, cardboard boxes, or paper products. There are lots of things kids can recycle, most of which they’ll encounter almost every day of their lives.
