Kids love making anything that they can wear, which is why our We Recycle headband is a great choice for Earth Day. This craft is great for teachers in classrooms or parents wanting to bring some crafts into their at-home learning.
This simple and fun craft involves cutting out five circles featuring images of recyclable items (such as envelopes, milk boxes, batteries, etc). These circles are then glued onto the crown of the headband, creating a unique and colorful design that kids will love to wear.
Our “We recycle” headband has several different template options, including a template with pre-colored recyclable items and a template with black and white ones that they can color in themselves.
The pre-colored version is ideal for younger kids who might not have the patience to color in each item, while the black and white template is great for older kids who want more opportunities to express themselves when working on this type of craft.
Not only is this recycled headband a great way to celebrate Earth Day, but it’s also an excellent opportunity to teach your students about the importance of recycling and how it can make a difference in protecting our planet. You could even make a pre-craft classroom activity where students brainstorm things that can be recycled.
This craft has practical benefits as well, as it is a great way to help kids continue practicing their cutting and gluing skills.
This craft is sure to be a hit in the classroom and a fun way for your students to show their love for our planet.
